Join Owen for an eye-opening journey into the world of A Cappella singing. Whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned pro, this session will help you to unlock the full potential of your voice across a wide range of styles and vocal colours. Featuring detailed instruction on vocal technique, elements of improvised music-making and plenty of valuable vocal health tips, this session is designed to help you get the most out of your instrument in an efficient, informed and enjoyable way.’
About Owen Butcher
Owen Butcher is a British tenor, vocal coach, and performer. In April 2024, he joined the Grammy Award-winning vocal group, The Swingles, as their tenor.
Owen holds both a Bachelor of Arts in Music and a Master of Arts in Vocal Studies from the University of York. During his time at York, he was active in musical theatre and served as the Musical Director and Arranger for the university’s a cappella ensemble.
Beyond his work with The Swingles, Owen has developed a career as a freelance musician. Notably, he made his Off West End debut portraying Alan Turing in “Alan Turing – A Musical Biography.” Additionally, he runs a vocal coaching business, offering private lessons and community singing workshops.
Outside of music, Owen enjoys climbing, board games, playing the trombone, and cooking.
